(Sheet music introduction) Studio Ghibli Collection Guitar Solo Sheet Music Score Book with TAB/CD

Today I want to introduce you a sheet music for beginner I’ve been using.
The name of the book is right in the title.

This is the first sheet music I used when I first started touching the guitar.
This is a simple arrangement for beginners, but it still gives you the feel of the original song.
So, this is for people who have bought a guitar but don’t have a single sheet of music or don’t know what to buy.
On the other hand, if you have some experience with the guitar, you will enjoy playing it, but you may find it a bit lacking.

It contains 42 of the most popular songs used in Studio Ghibli’s animation.
Since the CD is included, you can play the songs several times and learn them to some extent before starting to play them.
Of course, if you have heard most of Ghibli’s songs before, you can practice by looking at the sheet music right away.

In this book, a capotast (a tool for easy transposition) is used.
You can play the piece without it, but you will not be able to play it in the original or a similar key.
It is recommended that you purchase a capotast as well, since a different key will not give you the same atmosphere.
There are many types of capotast, so please consider them yourself, but here I introduce the belt-type capotast that I use.
Note: Below is the one for classical-type guitar (“flat” type). If you want the one for folk guitar which has a curved fingerboard, please find the “curved” one.

The arrangement was done by Daisuke Minamizawa, who is so famous in Japan when it comes to solo guitar.

He also runs a Youtube channel where you can watch videos of his performances.

My personal favorites are “Merry-Go-Round of Life”, “Promise of the World” from “Howl’s Moving Castle”, and “Becoming the Wind” from “The Cat Returns”.
I especially recommend “Merry-Go-Round of Life”.

I again realized that the arrangement was really good!

今日は僕が使っていた初心者向けの楽譜の紹介をします。
書籍名は『ソロ・ギターのしらべ スタジオジブリ作品集』です。

これは僕がギターに触り始めた時に初めて使った楽譜です。
初心者向けのシンプルなアレンジですが、それでもオリジナルの曲の雰囲気を感じられるようになっています。
なので、「ギターを買ったはいいけど、楽譜をひとつも持っていない。何を買っていいかわからない」という方向けです。
逆に「ある程度ギターに触ったことあるよ」という人の場合、楽しく弾けますが物足りなさを感じると思います。

スタジオジブリ制作のアニメで使用された、代表的な曲が42曲収録されています。
CD入りですので、何度か曲を流してある程度覚えてから弾き始めることができます。
もちろん、「ジブリの曲は大体聴いたことあるよ」という方はいきなり楽譜を見ながら練習することもできます。

なおこの楽譜集ではカポタスト（簡単に移調するための道具）を使います。
なくても問題なく演奏できますが、原曲もしくはそれに近いキーでの演奏ができません。
キーが違うだけで雰囲気がそれっぽくならないので、併せて購入をおすすめします。
カポタストはいろいろ種類があるのでご自身で検討いただきたいですが、ここでは僕が使っているベルト式のカポタストを紹介します。
注意：↓はクラシックギター用です（フラットタイプ）。フォークギターのように指板がカーブを描いているものはカーブドのものを探してください。

編曲は日本ではソロギターといえばこの人、というほど有名な南澤大介さんが担当しています。

個人的なお気に入りは「人生のメリーゴーランド」「世界の約束」「風になる」の3つですね。
特に 「人生のメリーゴーランド」 がおすすめで、どこかに音源あったかなー。。と思ったらサンプルがありました。
改めて聞くと、当たり前ですがアレンジが非常に良い！

自分用にはもちろん、周りに「これからギターを始めるけどどんな楽譜が良いかなー」という人がいたらこれをプレゼントするのも良いと思います。
