See You Tomorrow – OMORI

About game/music

This is “See You Tomorrow” from RPG “OMORI”, which is about overcoming trauma, created by OMOCAT.
This is composed by Pedro Silva.
The soundtrack is here.

OMOCAT, the creator of the game, cites “Earthbound” as an influence on this game, but also says that it is influenced by other famous games in Japan, like “Pokemon”, “Legend of Zelda”, etc.
(Interview Note:Japanese only)

This song is played in the evening, after the main character wakes up from a dream and walks around the town with his friend.
It feels like a small break between stories.

I love your website. It is well made and pleasing to the eyes. Your analysis of the progressions shows how amazing you are. Thanks a lot for the tabs. These songs feel nostalgic to me. I also want to introduce you to Jubing Kristianto. He is a fellow classical guitarist and he composed/plays nostalgic songs like this Omori song and more. I hope you keep on sharing your talent. I’m a fan of your works

Thank you for your kind words.
I didn’t know him, but he has thick, warm sound.
      I’ll check him out more!

Oh, my bad. I forgot to include some of his compositions/arrangements that I love. “Song for Renny” – a song he made for his wife Renny. This song feels like a kind, contented love. “Amelia” – feels like different shades of sadness in one song. I love these ones too: “Once upon a rainy day”, “Lullaby”, “Ambilikan Bulan” & “Moonrise”. I hope you enjoy them too like I do. I am not knowledgeable with music theory so I can’t recommend complex or technical songs. You, on the other hand, are more of an expert with music theory. keep it bro! 🙂
